independent not

A writer friend suggested I write a something else in between my series. I opted to follow her advice, at least I'm trying to. The manuscript I'm writing right now which is supposed to be an independent story is becoming more and more like a series or at the very least a trilogy. The secondary characters have become all too real for me, it wouldn't seem right not to give them their own stories. *shakes head*
